Play Eco-Detective 2

As part of the Government of Canada’s Ministry for Agriculture and Agri-Foods, this role
playing game is designed to teach us about species at risk in Ontario’s Carolinian Forest. This is the second installment of a previous game (Ferruginous Hawk Eco Detective). In this game, you play the role of two squirrels trying to figure out the reasons behind the disappearance of several species in the Carolinian Forest. You will visit several stages, where you will interview certain species at risk of extinction, such as: the Barn Own, the Fox Snake, and the Red Mulberry. After interviewing them, you will be prompted for a quiz, where you will have to select the correct answers to qualify you to be able to move on to the next stage. Once you are finished you will learn more
about the ecology of the Carolinian Forest in Southern Ontario, the species in it, and the threats to its habitat, such as pollution, and invasive species. It takes about 30 minutes to play. Have fun, enjoy and learn about this fragile ecosystem.
